Amazon upgraded their Bathgate warehouse to incorporate new ‘fast track loading highways’ at each end of the site. This means that delivery vehicles are able to drive into the warehouse into one of 4 loading zones and be directly loaded within the warehouse. To counter the problem of rising CO levels from the van exhaust fumes, a 2-stage ventilation system was installed to be controlled via a McDermid Controls’ Control Panel and BMS System.

Earlier this year McDermid Controls were very proud to have been awarded our first ever international contract to supply and install a BMS system in the Amazon warehouse located in Essen, Germany.

The conversion of an existing factory into an Amazon warehouse meant that the background heating system and Controls needed to be upgraded in order to provide the factory floor with a consistent 18°C temperature.
